Biography
Nafiseh Moeini was born in Tehran in 1975. From a tender age talent and interest in painting and followed it professionally since childhood. Before she was admitted to the college of clinical psychology at Shahid Beheshti University in 1994, she was the student of Morteza Katouzian, from whom she learned the principles of drawing and oil painting.
As a master psychologist, understanding the mechanisms that underline the thoughts, feelings and behaviours of people around offered a wide variety of explanation and both theoretical and potential value to her works.
A few years later, she furthered her knowledge of drawing and painting with prominent professors such as Djamal Khorrami Nejad and Mohsen Derakhshan in the field of watercolors. Later, she tried conceptual art and started to express her thoughts and surroundings under the mastery of Ali Nedaei and Hossein Maher.
Nafiseh established her painting studio called as ‘Nafis Art Studio’ in 1997 and has participated in several exhibitions over these years.
