"Clay provides me an opportunity to TOUCH my experiences on many levels. The obvious: the tactile love I have for my medium; but in addition, I am touching the feeling of something in my mind, and hopefully, conveying those feelings / emotions in the finished piece.
I have been a full time studio artist since 1999, and have been working primarily in clay since 1995. When I found clay I found more than just a medium, I found my MUSE.

My work tells stories, it discusses the trials, tribulations, joys and frustrations in life, my own -- and those that I witness. I finish my clay work in post-fired finishes, meaning I do not work in a traditional manner with clay, using fired glazes. Instead, I use a variety of mediums applied after the work is fired, in order to achieve the completed look that I have in my mind’s eye.(acrylic paints and washes, inks, waxes, iron surfacers, resins to name a few)

I am a self-taught artist, having been very lucky to fall into an art community that is talented and nurturing to it’s peers. Early connections with this community fueled my passions and knowledge, and now I make it a point to share and hopefully inspire other artists who are searching for inspirations. In addition to creating my work in the studio, I also invite others to come and work through workshops, classes, and community events. ... "
