Laurie Lee Brom

"Laurie Lee grew up in the historical town of Charleston, South Carolina, the local ghost stories and folk tales of the swampy Low County, and rich Gullah culture stirring her imagination. She spent untold hours pursuing pixies and tree frogs in the hollow logs and Pluff Mud of her own backyard. Today she still pursues magical fairy folk along with all manner of curious ghosts and odd characters in her enchanting portraits and paintings."

Harry Epworth Allen

"Harry Epworth Allen (27 November 1894 – 25 March 1958)was an English painter. He was one of the twentieth century's most distinctive interpreters of landscape.

H. E. Allen was born at 20, Kirkstall Road, in the Hunter's Bar district of Sheffield, England,. The city would remain his home for the rest of his life. His father was Henry Allen, a steel mark maker, and his mother Elizabeth Epworth Akllen (née Blacktin). Epworth was the maiden name of Elizabeth's mother, who was also called Elizabeth.

Allen showed remarkable artistic talent from an early age and in 1902 won third prize for pen and ink drawing in an art studentship competition run by the Sheffield Weekly Independent. Between 1907 and 1911 he attended the King Edward VII School in Sheffield, where he obtained a Lower School Certificate Prize for his class distinctions in Arithmetic, Scripture and English.

In 1911 he began work as a clerk in the steel works owned by Arthur Balfour and in 1912 he enrolled at the Sheffield Technical School of Art."

Olivier Lamborey

"My name is Olivier Lamboray and I am a 42-year old, Belgian. I have been painting since 1992 and have, to date, had many successful exhibitions in Belgium, Thailand, Indonesia, England and France and soon Amsterdam.

’ Painting is my Life ‘… Would really define who I am.
My paintings clearly reflect the duality of my love for my Mother-Nation Belgium, its shinny paved streets, trams and atmospheres mixed with the colors, the flowers and women of this paradisiacal island where I live.
Surrealism is very present in our Belgian culture and I have been fascinated by it since my early years… The magical feeling of the surreal dream...

It started when I was may be 4 or 5 Y. O. We were living not far from the airport and I was pointing at the planes in the sky, but more especially from the garden of my grand-mother
A bit later I tried to imagine where these planes were going, the people inside them, their stories, the sun waiting for them… It was always a holyday, not a business trip… A Happy Thing

Then I started travelling with my parents, 4 continents and 28 countries… and I lost my orientation on the way, and got lost on an island at the end of the world..... Facing the horizon for many years....the infinite...the reflection of the self... Facing myself.

Running the world wasn't leading anywhere, I was just making circles around the globe, turning around my quest... drop my small suitcase. The answers I was seeking were inside me, so I started another journey... I left everything behind and started travelling inwards myself... No boundaries, no limits... An horizon pushed back to the infinite, without limits, a surreal sight of the self... I was on my way to the roots of my deeper self, to whom I really am.
… And like the Paulo Coelho’s Alchemist, it takes around the globe to realize that what we are looking for is inside us.

The steps on this opposite path were difficult ... A dangerous trip where it is easy to get lost in the darkness of the loneliness, teasing craziness, in the deep places of the mind....it was like walking on a wire at the edge of the world.

Love is the string that pulled me back from falling at the edge of the world.
Love is the strength that carries me every day.
Love is the inspiration of the divine secrets.
It is the essence of Life

Painting brings me euphorically feelings and equilibrium between my utopist vision of the world and the reality we live in...

It’s a journey
And it’s amazing"

Edmund Lewandowski

Edmund Lewandowski was born in Milwaukee in 1914 and attended the Layton School of Art in Milwaukee from 1931 to 1934. Following graduation, he assumed a teaching position in public school as a means of support though he pursued painting and commercial commissions in advertising and magazines on his own. In 1936, Edith Halpert, an important New York art dealer of modern art, invited him to join her gallery, the noted Downtown Gallery. That year, he also began painting murals for the Federal Art Project, and during 1939 and 1940, he executed post office murals in Minnesota, Illinois, and Wisconsin. From 1942 to 1946, Lewandowski made maps and concealments while serving in the United States Air Force. In 1947, he went back to the Layton School of Art where he was appointed to the faculty, but he also continued to do commercial work. In 1949, he moved to a teaching position at Florida State University, in Tallahassee, where he remained until 1954. Following his tenure in Florida, he returned to the Layton School of Art as Director until 1972. Lewandowski was chair of the Art Department at Winthrop from 1973-1984 and was named professor emeritus upon his retirement. Alexander Titorenkov - Алекасандър Титоренков

His artistic style is hyperrealistic but there are also elements of photorealism and at times - a touch of surrealism. I made my choice to work in these similar styles because they are the most suitable and adequate expression of my sense of form and idea. My desire is that the academic basis of form and image can be seen through my paintings. This is only a tool of developing any modern and abstract idea which can be interpreted by everybody in their own way. However hyperrealistic the compositions might be, they suggest universal concepts and eternal subjects.

Nelly Tsenova - Нели Ценова

Nelly Tsenova was born in 1961 in Plovdiv, Bulgaria. She graduated from the High School of Fine Arts in her home town and from the National Academy of Fine Arts in Sofia.
The artist Nelly Tsenova creates in the field of painting. Her works are part of private collections in Bulgaria and abroad.

She lives and works in the city of Plovdiv.

In Nelly Tsenova's works, the space is a receptacle of eternal signs: cross, sphere, pagoda, flame, spiral; which are made from the most unabiding and vulnerable matter: glass, flowers, butterflies. The wonder of impregnation and growing reigns everywhere, the flowers communicate by the gleam of fireflies, the worlds by the light of stars. It is raining life together with the rain drops, life is pouring out with the blessing of the system carrying sap to leaves, stems, and flowers.
